Say hello to the glow!

Someone, somewhere has probably blabbed about chia seeds to you by now. About how they’re great for weight loss and feeling full.. And maybe all you really heard during their rant was Cha-Cha-Cha-CHIAAAAA!!!! But cut it out already. Seriously. Pay attention. Chia seeds are pretty badass little POVs (Pieces of Vegetation). Not only can they do everything your friend promised for your waistline, they can also make you better looking! What?! Yes.

Think of these clean eats as little, tiny backpacks of wholesome nourishment: tasty vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, fiber, protein, ANDDDDD omega-3 fatty acids. Yum. Eating them is a big, giant, freakin’ DUHHH. Anyway, you’re probably thinking “ya, ya, ya, how are they gonna make me even prettier?!”

Well, it’s all in that delicious protein and those omega-3 fats! The protein content helps build your bone, muscle, and skin all while helping with the repair of damaged tissue. And all those sexy essential fatty acids? Those are gonna help keep your nails, hair, and skin looking supple and youthful. Quenching your hair follicles with omega-3s will keep those brittle ends and dry scalp at bay and leave you with stronger and shinier strands. You want more? All those beautiful fats will give your skin that beautiful, healthy glow. Almost like you rubbed goddess butter all over your body! Except not. Because that sounds gross. Ingredients
  1. Jalapenos- 17
  2. Panko Bread Crumbs- 3/4 cup
  3. Greek Yogurt Cream Cheese- 8oz
  4. White Cheddar Cheese- 1/2 cup
  5. Cajun Spice Blend- 1/2 tsp for cream cheese
  6. Garlic Powder- 1/2 tbsp for cream cheese
  7. Egg- 2
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325F
  2. Cut peppers in half lengthwise enough to open w/out completly separting halves- think alligator mouth; scrape out and discard seeds << unless you want them super hot and spicy – this is where all the heat in the jalapenos hang out>>
  3. Mix greek yogurt cream cheese with cheese- you can use any cheese you’d like, we used grassfed white cheddar. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, add bread crumbs, 1/2 to 1 tsp of Cajun spice blend, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt. Mix. Set aside.
  5. In another bowl, add the 2 eggs (you will have a lot left over) Whisk. Set aside.
  6. Using a spoon, stuff each jalapeno with cream cheese mixture.
  7. Next, dip the jalapeno in the egg batter completely.
  8. Roll the jalapeño in breadcrumbs completely to make sure all sides are well-coated.
  9. Place the poppers on a foiled tray and bake for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown and tender.
  10. Enjoy!
